Staying in the app instead of killing the app on back press

If you are an Android user, you probably may have experienced how when you open some apps from push notification and it takes right to the activity you intended to go, but when you hit back , some (sneaky) apps take you to the homepage of the app instead of terminating the app (the nice way).

As always, the framework nicely has many ways of dealing with this situation and here I am sharing a combination of ways to deal with this particular problem.
