Positive Reflection

Amal journey was full of surprises for me, although I had heard a lot about it but practically experiencing it was another level of joy. When I joined Amal I was really excited to meet new people and learn new things. It was the beginning of my journey at Amal. I realized that one of my weaknesses is that I wasn’t sure about my strengths and lacked self confidence. I never knew that I had leadership potential but apart from that, there is another interesting thing that I learned; was my confidence, self realization and acting skills.

During the 5th session of Amal, Sir Saim asked me to play the role of Kamal “a character from LUMS case study”. Initially, I was a bit hesitant but later I agreed and I was surprised to know that I did a great job, it was so much fun not only for me but for viewers as well, everybody laughed and appreciated my acting and their smiles made my day.

Before that, I wasn’t fully able to express my emotions. It was confusing for me to find the correct way to express things which are in my mind and that I feel. After this experience, I came to realize that acting and playing a role can also add another dimension into your personality. Acting enables you to express your personality in a very sublime way.

I never knew that I had enough confidence to act in front of the whole class. But this one opportunity was a push for me towards being a better person. If I hadn’t do it, I wouldn’t be the person I am right now. I would still be a very shy and reserved person. Now I feel very confident about myself and my emotions. I can easily express what I feel without the concern of what others will think about me.

Life is so unpredictable. Things happen to us and we don’t know why and how these happen. The only thing which we can do is embrace this unpredictability and we should be grateful for all the changes which this unpredictability brings to us.
